Come January, every year in Rotterdam, independent and innovative filmmakers are given the opportunity to showcase their talents. The International Film Festival in Rotterdam also provides real film lovers to meet and chat with representatives from the film industry. Sounds interesting right?
The Netherlands ranks 5th in the world 2010 "digital economy rankings"
The British magazine's annual survey of 70 nations was until this year known as the "e-readiness" rankings. The Netherlands ranked behind, in order, Sweden, Denmark, the United States, and Finland.
Last year the Netherlands was third on the list. The slightly lower ranking is due to new criteria in the research and the rise of other countries. For the first time is the quality and speed of connections included. While Netherlands has an excellent broadband network, but not the most modern fiber or 4G mobile network.

University of Groningen Alumni Song
Watch the University of Gronigen Alumni Song. The University of Groningen officially launched the song on 5th Sept, 2010 during the opening of the academic ceremony with a LIVE performance.
Bring back the Groninigen vibes! The song is composed by University staff member and alumnus Dicky Gilbers; Library staff member Frank den Hollander wrote the lyrics. University student Bart van Overbeek (known from The Voice of Holland 2010).
